Reading this thread - http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=218821 - prompts me to ask about montessoris.

Does anyone have their children in one?
What are the positives and negatives?
What's the difference between a montessori and a daycare?
At what age would you recommend starting Montessori?
How do you find a good Montessori?
Is there a web site where they are rated?

My little one is almost 15 months and I'm thinking about starting her at 18 months. I've read that it's better if the montessori is AMS certified.

All Montessori schools are not created equal. All classes in a given Montessori school are not created equal.

I think montisauri isn't for everyone. If your kid is ADD, for example then it probably isn't best. Some kids thrive with the free thinking aspect while other kids thrive with more structure.

At 18 months it is hard to tell about personality but it is something to keep in kind.

Both my kids are in a Montessori. PM me and I can try to answer some questions.
