What is up with my monitor.

the picture keeps shaking and stuff.

I just recently got cable, so maybe it has to do something with that. Why is my monitor picture shaking?
    Anybody has a clue?
    Thank you sirs and maams

Why did you buy a cable? Did you lose it, or were you trying to solve the shaking problem? If you lost the other, then the cable shouldn't be the problem. It is not likey that a new cable is causing the problem. More likely it's the monitor driver. I would start there by either uninstalling it and reinstalling it or updating it with one from the web.

monitor shakin? is it wavy or vibrating?

how close is the cable modem to the monitor?

is your 10/100 card in your PC close to your video card?

what do you have near the monitor? a tv, power strip, another monitor, cable modem?

all those things emit waves that can jack with your monitor/tv...

It is interference from something, most likely the cable modem itself. Try turning it off, and see if the screen shakes then.

I have this happen to my monitor sometimes. I don't know what it is that's interfering, but it usually goes away.

My monitor shakes when the washing machine is running, so it makes me think it is the power. Try plugging your monitor into a different outlet, or remove some of the other stuff sharing it's outlet.
