I was just thinking about how Houston Rockets gets all the money to pay salaries etc. so I have a couple of question that I hope u guys can answer at! here it goes: 1. Does Les own any other companies? 2. How rich exaktly is Les? 3. Is there any part owners in the Rockets? 4. How much does the Rockets make for all the merchandies they sell etc..? 5. How much money do we pay all of our players? Ok I think that was all the question I thought about..........
I don't know if anyone is going to be able to answer these questions for you. I would have guessed that Alexander owned other companies besides the Rockets, but I didn't find any on Hoovers.com. They mention that 2002 sales were $82 million, a 1.2% growth over 2001. But, I don't know what they mean by 'sales' -- tickets, merchandise, tv rights, etc.
uh, sales on rockets merchandise (i.e. jerseys, hats, etc.) are not given directly to the rockets.. the sales are added up and then the profit is evenly distributed among all the teams, if i remember correctly. that way, a crappy team like the grizzlies won't get the royal shaft just because their roster sucks.
