DISCLAIMER: I am NOT trying to bash Mobley or Steve. I am only trying to piece together clues to figure out Why-Oh-Why.

    Something doesn¡¯t feel right.

Does anybody still remember the December 26 game? Right after the big win on National Television beating Lakers, Rockets lost a nail-biting game to Denver Nuggets?

    It was eerily similar.

    This is the play-by-play:
    ¡_¡_¡_¡_¡_.
(0:08) [HOU] Mobley Foul: Shooting (4 PF)
    (0:08) [DEN 93-94] Lenard Free Throw 1 of 3 (15 PTS)
(0:08) [DEN] Boykins Substitution replaced by Camby
    (0:08) [DEN 94-94] Lenard Free Throw 2 of 3 (16 PTS)
    (0:08) [DEN 95-94] Lenard Free Throw 3 of 3 (17 PTS)

    Compare to last night:

    ¡_¡_¡_¡_¡_¡_¡_
(0:14) [HOU] Jackson Running Jump: Missed Block: Marion (3 BLK)
    (0:14) [HOU] Team Rebound
    (0:14) [HOU] Team Timeout: Short
(0:12) [HOU] Mobley Jump Shot: Missed

I am banging my head against the wall: WHY? Mobley? Why?

How often does Mobley do this? Does anybody know?

It's 6:00am on West coast I have not slept all night long. My memory is a mess, I can't even see my typing. Please somebody who is more familar with Cat's career enlighten me.

Yao once wrote in his BBS ¡°.. Old Cat is my role model on Rockets roaster¡_.I always admired his intensity . ¡±

But is this what Yao¡¯s learning?

    Heaven forbids.

Steve and Mobley deserve to be bashed! to the MAX. Ther are what is wrong with this Team, like Moochie they should find another home where they can play their selfish iso game.

There was one second left on the shot clock at that time, if I remember correctly. JVG used his last timeout and the Rockets had to force a shot.

What is similar between those two snippets of game? In one Mobley fouls someone on a 3-point shot. In the other, Mobley misses a shot. These are both examples of failures of Mobley's in the waning seconds of losses to bad teams. But, they aren't the same failures, not symptoms of the same cause and, in general, not related to one another in any way beyond the agency. With this exercise, could I pick two random Bulls losses, string together two mistakes or missed shots by Michael Jordan and argue he's a bonehead?

Most of the NBA players start their basketball training at the backyard of their home where other part of the world, their player start in the gym because they lived in smaller apartment with no room to play. This conclude why Francis and Mobely ........!

    Clutch is right.

There was one second left on the shot clock after JJ's shot got blocked. Hou ball.

And JVG made an idiotic decision by calling the last timeout. Yet it still ended with a desperate airball from Cat.

After Suns made that 3pts, there was still 5.6 secs left on the game clock. If we had that timeout, we could have sent Yao back on the floor and come up with a decent shot.

The way JVG manages his timeout is totally inexcusable and stupid.

This pretty much confirms it: those of us that actually WATCH the games instead of reading the ticker tape know what we're talking about. The rest of you box score readers don't.

Now that quick outside with plenty on the shot clock and 12 sec left for SUNS in regulation was actually bad.

Have you read any of Mobley's post-game quotes after some of the losses? "Man, it felt like we should have won by 20 or something." NBA needs to create a Wunderlich test.

you guys are talking about team play..

    and you're right,

Steve and Mobley don't know this...

their passing skills are ok but their heart, they want to score first...

that's why when they're covered and decide to pass to Yao, the defense is ready for a steal.

And also don't forget that JVG did not call the foul before Marion's triple!

Everyone keeps on talking about fouling to take away a three, but it isnt easy as it sounds. If u noticed someone tried to foul joe johnson before he passed it but he got the ball away before ag got there and he was in the air so you dont want to foul. Many of you probably dont know the rule about intent to foul someone before the have the ball in their hands. If thats called then its free throws and possesion.

You're right. Shawn Marion just made a great shot from beyond the arc. I give the credit for bringing it whenever he plays the Rockets.

Leaving Marion for wide open 3 was a fatal mistake.

Amare couldn't hit ocean from the beach that night.

    :(
