Heard John and Lance interview Mo Taylor in the 9:00 hour today. They drilled him on his rebounding and attitude problems. He said he was working hard in the offseason with a personal trainer and feels confident all his numbers will improve. He's only been in Houston since Friday. He lives in Michigan. Says he's looking forward to learning from Dream. He chose Houston because it was the best situation for him and he feels like he could be here for a long time. Just had a son 3 weeks ago. Feels like this young team can do some great things. His attitude problems stemmed from losing in LA with the team doing nothing to get better. Plays video games and watches movies on DVD. He's a homebody. Lance mentioned that's a good thing with Paul Pierce and others finding themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. Mo agreed and said that a club with a bunch of people is just a club with a bunch of people, but if he goes to the club, then it's the club that Mo Taylor was at last night. He answered some criticism and was a good interview. He said he's been working hard and plans to have the best year of his career to secure himself financially, and hopes to have the Rockets provide him with that security. ------------------ "I'd like to be going down Fourth Avenue in a parade with all the graffiti coming down on our heads." -- Patrick Ewing, showing off that Georgetown edumacation.
TB, Excellent post! I truly hope that Mo comes with his "A" game. Not just for one season but for many more to come. ------------------
Man, I can't tell you guys how much I love hearing Mo' say things like that. It really sounds like he has a new attitude and is ready to commit himself to getting better and helping his team win. ------------------ Too often, we lose sight of life's simple pleasures.
