""""Jordan said he has played with Chinese center Yao Ming and described him as "a great shooter and passer." He added that with more experience, Yao will get better and better. "I've seen him play," said Jordan. "He has improved tremendously and he's building up his knowledge. You can expect a better performance from Yao in the future.""""

MJ really messed up his asia trip, actually. Fans in China and Taiwan are really mad because they felt he and Nike cheated them. Some fans are suing Nike.

    It was a PR disaster.

He found time to visit the night clubs, but backed out his scheduled meetings with the fans. Those fans paid a lot of money for it.

Pretty sad being treated so badly by someone you see as your idol.

Where was this meeting? Don't people usually get refunds for things like this?

He went to meet a very cute Taiwan actress in the night club and had a lap dance.

I don't see anything wrong with that

There is nothing wrong with MJ visiting night clubs; that is his life after work. Personally, i don't like MJ eversince his existence in the NBA, but all these chaos created on his last visit to asia was indeed not MJ's fault. It was actually Nike trying to make big cash out of MJ's remianing publicity value. People here in asia (particularly in taiwan), unlike in the US, still perceive MJ as the god of BBall, they did not realize his coming to asia was purely a business trip, fans were expecting too much. Japanese media wasn't this kind to MJ, his visit to japan was almost a non-event.

You know what sucks the most??? This when MJ endoses you speaks highly of any other player in the NBA and their future, it places a curse on them and they never really recover. (i.e. Darius Miles and Kwame Brown)... so, should I start selling my Yao Ming rookies Cards now?

No, actually MJ mentioned Yao only after a chinese journalist in a press conference asked him about his views about Yao. Initially, MJ mentioned Lebron, Kevin Garnett, and I think Kobe too, as the most promising players in the NBA.

Remember, Yao is with Reebok, not Nike. Are Lebron, KG and Kobe all with Nike?

Kobe is not with Nike anymore. Nike bought out his contract.
