Just want to throw out a dumb thought. Don't kill me about it.

ESPN's Chad Ford had an interesting proposition:
    http://espn.go.com/nba/s/2002/0724/1409470.html

"Jordan proved that he clearly still has something to offer, but his talents are wasted on the Wizards. If he joined a contender, such as the Kings, Mavs or Nets, things would get a lot more interesting this season. What would a team give up for a shot at dethroning the Lakers? Plenty. Would the Kings part with Hedo Turkoglu? Could the Wizards pry away Richard Jefferson from the Nets? Would the Bulls give up Jamal Crawford for a one-season stand with MJ? The possibilities are limitless. If Jordan really wants to help the Wizards, he'll stay off the court and figure out a way to use his name to get the Wizards some value."

Would you trade any Rocket key player for a 1-year Michael Jordan?

MJ only has value on a team that is on the verge. Here is my list of teams that could want him.

    Sacramento
    San Antonio
    Portland
    Dallas
    New Jersey

The only reason we would bring MJ here is for all the money he can make for us.

Imagine the crowds if Jordan signed. It would be a circus here.

I think MJ signed a 2 year deal before so last season, so I think he is still under contract.

Actually, I am against bringing in a superstar at his twilight years just to push the team over the hump. Look at how it worked out with Barkley and Pippin, not to mention Elvin Hayse in the early 80's. That's why I think bringing in Rice was a mistake.

Drexler was probably the exception. But he was the hometown hero. And the Rockets helped him as much as, if not more than, he helped the team get a ring.

No, but I heard Wilt Chamberlin wanted to come back and play for the rockets for a year to teach Yao Ming how to SCORE.

LOL. I don't believe you. Wilt is too selfish to teach anybody for a chance to break his 100 point game record.

ROCKET!!! - I know, that just makes the odds of him or MJ playing for the rockets the same.

It was a play on words... SCORE... as in with the ladies. Wilt professed to SCORING with 20,000 women.

I'd do it just to get rid of a bad contract. I believe this is MJ's last year of a two year contract. Rice for MJ? I'd do that.

Michael Jordan and Yao Ming. That sounds like an advertisement for Barnum and Bailey's. We'd be a circus.

if he was a free agant i'd do it. If we trade someone i would trade T mo and KT for him, becuase none of them will be on our team next year anyway.
