Plan A definitely backfired, all those reports on FVV being a shore thing dried up quick! Lopez headed back to MIL too

if fvv will sign a 4/80 with 1 or 2 yrs guaranteed that makes sense

create cap space

get out of the luxury tax

lower luxury tax penalty

create trade exceptions for future deals

it is to our advantage for these rumors to be out there of these ridiculous contracts

now what is the ideal way for us to use our cap space

we need to create roster spots

that means the value of the guys we want to trade goes down because we have a glut

he will occupy a roster spot if he is not used in a sign and trade with a big contract that is actually a little contract that can be stretched if necessary

then we'll have his salary and porter jrs salary waiting for team for a salary dump at the deadline

plus the 25% or remaining cap space we don't use
