Mischievous Pronounciation

    I hate mispronunciations. Whenever my friends want to piss me off (and they know these two words grate on me like fingers on a chalkboard), they'll start using "irregardless" and pronouncing the "t" in "often."

    It's actually humorous how irritated I get when they all gang up on me and every comment they say uses one of those two bastardized usages.

    Victual is pronounced 'vittle', like vittles from The Beverly Hillbillies.

    I use the 'wrong' one too. The one w/ the long 'v', as opposed to the short 'v' sound. :p

    I heard that just don't seem how it would be pronounced like that. English sucks. ;)

    except when "axed" should be "asked".

    and "asked" should be "askt" instead of "ast", so really axed is closer to the correct form, logically.
