I would just like to address the constant comments that Ming is too small. Now, scouts and people that went to the Chicago workout both say that Ming is a solid 280+ pounds. Is that small? In comparsion look at a previous center that had solid career. Ralph Sampson was very effective for years at 7'4 and around 230-240 pounds. Now, that is REALLY Bradley small (for those who think that Ming is Bradley's size Sampson is a lot closer). Ralph didn't have to be huge because he could shoot hooks and jumpers over any guy (whether they're 230 pounds or 290 pounds). That is what Ming has to do. If he can shoot over anyone then he doesn't have to fight in the paint for every inch. Its the same thing for Hakeem. He wasn't a power center. He just needed to get within 15 feet and he could do a turn around baseline J on anyone (including Shaq, the man apparently every center should be like). Shaq is the opposite, he has to fight for every inch because if he isn't within 8 feet of the basket he can't even hit the rim. There is nothing wrong with a center who isn't a great power player (which Ming might be capable of, but even if he can't). The only place we need Ming to be able to pound in the post is for rebounds and there's no reason that a little extra body strength and technique can't make him effective at that.
Too small weight-wise maybe, but look at his legs, those ain't no beanpoles, he looks like he has the capacity for good muscle tone and growth. Get him on some serious protein and supplements a little upper body weight training, bulk him up... man, the potential. those legs ain't beanpoles... he's got potential!!!
