Which one of these guys should we go after, why? How could we get them? For the high expectation teams that miss out on the trio, they're prolly gonna end up overpaying for Ray and Mill, how much should we give? Or should we not go after either? Remember, Boozer (eeww, yuk!) is still on the board... Personally, I think Miller would be an absolute PERFECT backup for kmart. BTW, I think DM did a great job of not panicking and offering the kitchen sink for Bosh, and keeping OUR stars (Kmart, AB0, Scola). I'm still really looking forward to next season, as we have Yao back too.
You would only go after the old guys if you're a contender. I don't think we're a contender yet and neither does Morey. He's gonna hold out until he's absolutely positive we can't get superstar.
Priority #1 should be getting an actual backup Center for Yao. If (and when) that gets taken care of, then we can worry about somebody like Mike Miller or Ray Allen. Chances are, Ray is going to be asking entirely too much (aka, more than the MLE) so we're probably not getting him. Mike Miller might be a possibility, but there's practically no way we can get him and a backup center (unless we trade for one).
Mike Miller is probably more feasible. We already have our Ray Allen in Kevin martin. I dont know how well Miller would fit in with our second unit. Hes a half court player, and we like to run when the second unit is in. I would say that Miller could start and we could bring ariza off the bench but if that were the case we'd have the worst starting defensive lineup ever: Brooks Martin Miller scola Yao JVG would have a heart attack if he had to coach that lineup.
yes, he did. OP, I merged your previous thread in the 2010 FA and Trade thread...I will not do it again to this thread...go discuss it there.
