yeah Mike played insanely well today...he was as clutch as it gets, and I actually like the fact that he has that scoring mentality...we need that in our sixth man...but he pretty much carried us when we needed it, stifling every run that the Mavs threw at us...
I kept saying that at my friends house but then his daughter came in the room to watch the game and I had to stop. But we have another Rockets fan supporting the team after tonight!
What part of I'm not saying I want MJ to start jacking it up 20+ times per game do you not understand? The point was that neither player, MJ nor T-Mac, is likely to continue shooting >50% regardless of how many shots they are taking. BTW, Mike James took on average, 10 shots per game for the Rockets. That's hardly shooting too much for a scorer which MJ is. I bet you b****ed about Mobley taking too many shots when he was here. I'll take the aggressive shooter over the passive shooter every game.
He shoots a lot like Tim Hardaway in my opinion. But the rest of the stuff about Vinnie definetly fits.
If Mike F'n James is soo frickin good why dont we start him, and then bring Sura in. I suppose ya'll will say points off the bench, but if he is contributing that much to the team why keep h im off the court. Neway Iw as just wondering.
mike james is the next cassell!! I can't help but think that. Mike James reminds me of Tim Hardaway on offense and defense , though Tim was definitely the better assist man. I think James is better coming in off the bench. Bobby Sura gives us the rebounding and all around steady game we need most of the time. However, if James keeps this up we might consider startiing him. In addition, despite their claim to being so vastly more athletic, it seemed the Mavericks had a hard time keeping up with James. Returning to the Cassell example. Sam didn't start at point on the championship teams, but he usually finished.
Mike knows his role. He does things for the team. He is who he is, a 2 guard made to 1 guard. So far, he's been tremendous for us.
