This is not looking good for the Irish. They are down 27-7 and it isn't even halftime. Looks like someone's National Championship hopes will die today.

Irish invaded. Their lauded offense hasn't don't crap, other than one first down, so far in this game.

Good. It looks like Notre Dame will not be the ESPN National Champions.

And maybe Brady Quinn will not the HesimaESPn.

Last season, brady quinn was throwing to open receivers, or one on one coverage the entire year. I'm not gonna say his receivers made him but they are both pro prospects. I thought that the other coaches would catch up a little to Weis. And obviously they play an unbelievable schedule.

Last year their schedule looked tough but they beat a lot of name teams who people thought were fearsome (Michigan, Tennessee, Pittsburgh) that ended up underachieving and falling out of the top 25, I don't believe they beat a single team who finished the season ranked. The other thing is that they play at home an awful lot. That said, it's certainly not an easy schedule and looks tougher this year than last overall.

Second time in two weeks a Big Ten team has laid a whoopin on #2 in the polls.

you're right. and they got worked by ohio st in the fiesta bowl. their defense isn't that good either.

and as i'm typing Jeff Samardzija makes another great catch for a touchdown.

    24-7 is not a whoopin.

This game is 34-14 at HALFTIME.

Nice game by Michigan thus far. My beloved Vanderbilt only gave up 27 to them.... Notre Dame defense hasn't been able to do the same...

hmm i thought i was the only one hating espn for their non-stop coverage of notre dame.

    excellent :)

plus it always makes me happy seeing nfl coordinators/former coaches fail at the college level.

Losing 24-7 at home is indeed a "whoopin."

The Longhorns and Notre Dame will not be in the National Championship coversation. I am glad to see that Miami won't be either.

I'm so glad Michagan is kicking there arse...I'm so sick of the ND hype...Quinn is an average QB, period...ESPN makes him into this god-like figure...

Those last 2 passing interference calls on Michigan were horrorable. Refs are helping ND saving some face.

Even pimps at NBC admit that's total domination.
