Did you guys already discuss the video, or am I the only one who watched it. I thought it was pretty cool. He probably put a lot of money into it, but I liked it. I think he has added some cool stuff to the halloween scene with thriller and now this video. I was watching some of his old videos this weekend, and I'll tell you what, nobody did it like Michael Jackson. Even his boring videos kicked some major buttox over anything put out today. The guy just knows how to put on a show. On that note, I did think the Eglesias video 'hero' was pretty darn good too. Even confused it for a movie. I felt the emotion of it and thought whoever directed the scenes conveyed that emotion. Bravo.
I haven't seen the video yet, but I'm gonna buy the CD pretty soon -- man, no one did it like Michael -- he was THE BEST. Seriously, his hits were so damned good, and his music videos were so excellent -- he's a one of a kind.
Yeah I think I saw it. It was like an hour long or something right? It was called Michael Jackson's Halloween Special tho. anyways, the Enrique video looks like a takeoff of Desperado with Antonio Banderas. Jen Love Hewitt is supposed to be Salma Hayek I guess....doesnt matter tho she looks damn good.
Haven't seen the new videos, but his new songs rock! Well, they jam, or they're really good! The song they've been playing on the radio, "Butterflies", nice and smooth jazzy! And of course that other one they realeased, "You Rock My World", man I hope the rest of his album is old skool MJ like those songs! Of course, I've already read some negative stuff about it, but who the hell ever listened to critics anyhow!? I'm buying "Invincible" TODAY!!!
I like the first track he released off the album, it also has a good remix with JayZ. "You stole my world" ? or rock my world one of the two. Good Beat. His face still freaks me out though. 2001: Return of the MJ's : Year of the Rockets
He is VERY freaky looking -- I think "Thriller" got to him or something . . . Michael was really awesome though . . . I was talking to some Freshmen (HS) the other day, and I was telling them how much the 80s rocked. Michael Jackson and Pac Man . . . Alf and Nintendo
Michael Jackson is one of the most overrated egomaniacs since Benitto Mussolini. I won't even get to the pedophila (or is a $40 million out of court settlement to a 13 year old boy evidence of simple charity?), media manipulation (sending a fax to Mtv demanding that he be called the "King of Pop" is only one such instance), facial atrocities (he looks like Roddy Macdowell in "Planet of the Apes"), or cultivated weirdness (planting stories in the National Enquirer about his Elephant Man bones then whining about the intrusion later)...Michael Jackson is overrated because he hasn't made a good, or remotely original album since 1983. Where once Michael Jackson effortlessly produced catchy and soulful melodies that you could remember almost instantly, his work for the last 15 years has devolved to a lame formula that involves the hot hired-gun producer of the day dropping already-played-out beats (see the new Dirty South stuff on the new album), or over-produced sheen on the same old Michael Jackson stuff. Michael is either a thriller, bad, dangerous, or invincible...does anybody ever wonder if he is really trying to convince himself that he is not a little panty waist?/ Michael the messiah ("what more can I give?" charity singe is really about him, isn't it? His ego is the size of the Milky Way.) Michael the hunted by the femme fetale (Billie Jean, Dirty Diana...castration complex anyone?). Whatever...weird people usually make some of the best art...I just think Michael Jackson too often has been a hack. End rant.
i think micheal jackson's music is acually kinda alright, but the truth is he's a mutant. i noticed that they really didnt show his entire face much in the video....hmmmm i wonder why? MUTANT!
So that is Jennifer Love Hewitt in the Hero video? I've been going back and forth on this with myself ever since I first saw it. At first I said, hot damn that's jennifer love hewitt looking mighty fine in that video. Then I said, wait a minute, would she really be making a big video with enrique since I don't remember many other videos with actors in them for anything but a cameo. Then I thought, why don't they ever mention her when they play the video or why didn't I hear anything about it. Then I thought, but that has to be JLH because it looks exactly like her and she acts exactly like her. Then I thought maybe it's just someone who looks really really similar. Then I didn't know what to think. So you're certain that's her right.
JLH is also in LFO's "Girl on TV" and starred in her own music video "How Do I Deal". Don't look at Michael too long cause you will have nightmares!
Michael Jackson is without a doubt, a freak, but you can't deny that he has put out some of the most catchy tunes over the past 20+ years.
