Anyone seen this kid play yet? He is the one bright spot of a very pathetic Rice Owl team. He is just a freshman but plays like a senior.

I'm not an NBA scout but I play one on the Clutch BBS. If he keeps progressing he may have a future in the NBA.

Has Rice EVER had a player in the NBA?

Btw...Rice plays Nevada Thursday night. Tickets are cheap and seats are plenty. (I've seen more people at a bad high school game.)

Tape the Rockets/Mavs game and go check this guy out and tell me what you think.

    Harris is pretty good.

The problem with him, is that he is only 6 ft 6, and can't be more than 225 lbs or so. And he is a PF.

I saw him play in person against Boise State, and he was very active.

He is a more athletic version of Othella Harrington. The guy goes 110% all hte time.

I think he might be a Malik Rose, if he can develop a jump shot.

He will definitely get a shot at the NBA, at a camp or something.

Othella is a good comparison. He's got some Kenny Thomas in him too.

I've seen Harris do some things I haven't seen Thomas do. He has an explosive jump and can rebound and slam back in the same jump. I saw him do that on back to back possessions at a recent game a couple of weeks ago.

He's just a freshman so his body still has some way to go. I just hope the right people can get to him and maybe he'll do the right things in the off season and can take his game to the next level. I just hope the frustration of losing at Rice doesn't impede his progress.

Old School-I don't think Rice will suck that badly after this year.

Their big 3 Freshman, Harris, McKrieth, and the coach's son, Gillespie are playing great for freshmen. McKrieth is hurt at the moment though.

I think Rice can have an NIT-caliber and maybe NCAA tourney sqaud in a couple years.

As a native Houstonian, I always cheer on Rice and UH.
