Well call me a homer becasue I think C. Johnson was the best WR in the game last year. Dude had a great year with like 3 different QB's getting him the ball and nither one of them was good.
chad johnson had 540 yds on 53 receptions with only 4 TDs larry F. had 1431 yds on 96 receptions with 12 TDs Fitzgerald tripled Johnson in production...
You will have to excuse the italics boy, he meant Calvin Johnson of that team that had the defeated season.
so true he is a better route runner than somebody that made the pro bowl with David Carr at quarterback and the worst offensive line in the history huh don't get it at all.
And they pay to much attention to touchdowns. Who cares about hard fought yards when everyone is trying to take a bigtime shot at you when you get 6 points for walking in a 5 yards pass.
They didn't try to get him the ball those games and a few others. Gary tok serious heat for that. AJ had 19 more receptions, 160 more yards, and he had to deal with a Rosencopter switch mid-season.
Obviously not much because AJ wins in receptions and yards. I play FF for years now and have the Ticket. You have to see the hits he took and the hits he gave to understand fully.
hopefully. If Kansas City drafts him at number 3, that will be the end of me and the Chiefs. I kinda feel sorry for whoever takes him, sans Oakland of course.
Might've agreed before the end of this year. But damn, Dez really stunk on the road in most games, and certainly didn't look all that hot against some of the best opponents. He had a hell of a bowl game before getting hurt, and he beat up on OU. But those were some pretty weak defenses.
Thats partly because Dez is almost constantly double teamed on the road because the opponent knows that our QB almost always locks on to Dez, despite the double teams. Also, I wouldn't say he "sucked" on road games. He averaged over 20 yards/catch, but only managed one touchdown. But you also have to remember that we are a very balanced team scheme wise. We use the spread but we like to run the ball up more often than any other Big 12 teams. Mel Kiper has already projected Dez as the #1 WR in next year's draft, ahead of players like Arrelious Benn, Damian Williams, Brandon Lafell, etc.
