Anyone catch this game last night?

I couldn’t give 2 ****s about either one of these teams, but decided to watch just because something interesting always seems to happen when they play each other. I'm glad I did, as that was one of the most entertaining games I’ve seen in years. Back and forth all night long.

Jacory Harris…..does this kid remind anyone of a certain player from UT a few years ago? He kept on taking it on the chin and getting right back up again. FSU nearly knocked him out of the game (physically and mentally) on that INT for a TD. Most kids could never come back from something like that, especially in such a tough environment. That one 3rd down conversion where he almost got sacked but just calmly spun around, rolled to the left and found his receiver for the 1st down. That was vintage Vince. So calm cool and collected. And just a sophomore. It should really be interesting watching this kid’s career the next few years. FYI, he guided his high school team to a 30-0 record and a state (and national) championship while throwing 49 TD’s and only 6 INT’s.

    Also:

Michael Barrow (former Oiler) is the LB coach for Miami.
Alonzo Highsmith’s (former Oiler) kid is a freshman QB and almost saw action.

I stayed up watching this game and was not really expecting a lot from Miami since they had been down for the last couple of seasons. But I was glad I did, I was so certain that FSU was going to score at the end because that is the way Miami's luck usually goes. However, I was glad I was wrong on that. Honestly, it was probably the best Miami-FSU game since the 2002 one. I can remember a time where there would be a thread on this game and it will be several pages long. Shows you how far these 2 former heavyweight programs have fallen. :( Hopefully, they will both meet in the ACC championship game as the ACC needs both of them to become dominant again yet each team has the schedules from hell.

I thought Jacory Harris looked a lot better than vince at this point in their careers, dude's only a sophomore and a much more polished passer. He's doing something Vince does very few times that the great scramblers do, he keeps looking down field to throw the ball.

The kid from Fla St wasn't too shabby either. Remember these games were nightmare defensive battles with no offenses and over hyped qbs. In a weekend full of good matchups, that was clearly the best game.

The throw he made on the corner route inside the 10 on the winning drive was sick. He stepped up in the pocket, looked like he might run, then made a pinpoint throw 40 yards downfield, dropping the ball into the hands of the receiver.

it was funny, todd was talking about the FSU kid all night but by the end of night he was talking about Harris. And the FSU kid played well, his receiver should have caught the ball at the end. Great game. That throw was sick.

Great game. Weeeeell, not so much if you're a fan of crisp, fundamentally sound football. But a classic, no less.

It will be interesting to see if the "U" can return to elite status again in the next season or two. This game is definitely a step in that direction.

Anybody ever catch a Miami-FSU game live?

They showed him on the sideline after throwing that INT and he wasn't even phased. Then they showed him again when the FSU guy dropped the game winning TD, and again, just totally calm and cool. Like another day at the office. Unbelievable.

BTW, on the game.....did anyone else see that chick's boob fall out? I think it was after the INT for a TD. They rolled the camera along the front row of fans and there were 3 girls jumping up and down. The one on the right, well her boob fell out. She started laughing and covering it up. Nice.

What a game last night Miami vs FSU, probably the best game of week 1. Entertaining from start to finish. Jacory Harris is a superstar QB in the making, he is truly a great pocket passer with tremendous touch and accuracy on the deep ball. As the night began, I thought he was another scrambling type Mike Vike clones (Terrell Pryor), you see them poping up everywhere these days. But to my amazement, Harris is a pass only QB with the ability to run but not the desire or need. Heck the FSU QB Ponder was the bigger running threat who was excellent as well but came just short of the awesome comeback. Poor clock management with 45 secs to go at 5 yard line is inexcusable. Take a spike and then you have 3 plays to punch it in to the endzone. That would have given them enough time to run an option or sweep and try to get the first down at the 2 yard line. Blown oppurtunity by FSU and Bobby Bowden deserves the blame for not managing the clock. Now as good as the QB play was last night, the most impressive player is by far Craig Cooper who I think is going to be a big time player. He has tremendous ability to run the ball as a RB or punt returner where he is looking like another Devin Hester in the making. There were a few plays where this guy was brilliant when he stopped, juked and cut back to elude defenders. Reminded me of Reggie Bush and his ability to stop, shed a defender, change direction and then put it into the extra gear to run lights out. This Miami team is going to be really good this year, watch out Sooner fans you could be looking at 2 losses before even playing in the Red River Shootout. :D

I saw the game because I was bored myself. But it was pretty entertaining.

It's too bad it didn't come down to a field goal like it usually did in the past with some kicker missing wide right or left.

I didn't see it live, but I saw the replay later in the game with the FSU Kicker shanking a PAT.

Same thing I was thinking. Great, entertaining game, but not the best football. I think both of these teams have glaring deficiencies, but it does actually look like they are on the right track to getting back to their high status. College football is definitely better when both these teams are good.

And I have also been to a Miami/FSU game live, as well as a Florida/FSU game, and Florida/Miami game.

Hard to care about this game until the teams are competing for National titles again.

Oh yes, I've know the pics of which you speak. Frankly, the fake-tan, fake-boob, fake-blonde look doesn't really appeal to me. This appeared to be just a regular sorority girl. Her two friends (no, not THOSE two friends...) were both making some kind of sorority sign with their arms. And her other two friends (yes, THOSE two friends) were real and spectacular. You could tell by the way they were.....well, bouncing...
