What is up with Taco Bell these days? I was so curious about these new "Mexi-Nuggets", and they turn out to be... Tater Tots! Why couldn't they just say so...

(yes, to distract from all the discussion of serious issues, we have the Fast Food thread... post all new and updated fast food information here...)

McDonalds has this new thing called McPick. I don't know if they do it in Houston. Basically, you pick your burger/sandwich and two sides...fries, drink, pie, salad, water, or milkshake etc.

If McDonalds wasn't gross I might try this.

I went to one of those and came in from the Taco Bell part and asked, "where's the pizza hut?" and they said, "in the back." So I went to the back and guess what? There was no Pizza Hut. Damnit.

I tried the new "spinach fetticini" pizza from Papa John's. Very delicious change of pace. I don't really care for spinach, but this was really good.

    Holy cow! Smilies!>>> :) :D

is that new zesty bowl thing at taco bell any good?

    i like toca bell...it's cheap :)

those new salads they have a wendy's are pretty good too...especially when all you eat is fattening, greasy college cafeteria food or other fast food.

    happy eatings :)

McDonald's has McPick? Gross. Makes me think of McPick your nose. Since gross stuff and Mickey D's go hand in hand.

The Wendy's salads look good but I never eat them because that way you can't (or at least shouldn't) get those delicious fries. Though I tried one the other day and I was still hungry after eating it. Had to go home and find more food. :( The Dairy Queen crispy chicken salad is a good bit more substantial.

Anyone have any fast food items they miss that are no longer offered? I just had that depressing thought today. Taco Bell bacon cheeseburger burrito, Wendy's pitas, Burger King fish tenders (though now I'm wondering why I ever missed them), and then there are all the ones that cycle in and out and get taken away just when you get used to them. Sometimes they come back later. (Church's tender crunchers with purple pepper sauce, Popeye's crawfish, Popeye's catfish, Sonic chicken tender sandwich.) OK, so it's all gross and greasy but you have to eat something, and often these are the choices you have...

The building I work in is next door to Taco Bell corporate headquarters. I have lunch at the "Taco Bell Food Court" at least twice a week. KFC and Pizza Hut are represented there, and we have been wondering when A&W and Long John Silvers would be added (They recently were bought by Taco Bell....Isn't Pepsico the parent company??)...Anyway, I digress....usually menu items appear there before in the stores, and I haven't seen Mexi-Nuggets.....Are they just regular tater-tots or are they seasoned?

Speaking of Wendys, what do yall think of the New Orleans Chicken Sandwich and New Orleans Bacon Cheeseburger?

I like Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwich, but if you want a New Orleans Chicken Sandwich I'd go to Popeye's.

I've tried a Wendy's salad and pita once. The pita I'd get again, but I'll pass on the salad. It's not so much I was hungry afterwards as much as the salad just isn't worth what they charge.

I tried the new McDonalds Flatbread Chicken sandwich. The sauce is not very good.

i tried Wendy's one salad w/o meat... it was OK, just your typical salad... just don't put those stupid walnuts or dressing they give you on it... or you might as well eat a triple burger or whatever crap fast food people push on you guys... :(
