<i>"They boo all the time," Ordonez told The Post. "Why don't they play baseball? Because it's hard, right? It's hard."</i>

dude. You are the stupid one. What a pitiful quote. It's going to be hard living down that interview.

I like the Mets fans chanting in a big August loss..."Go on Strike. Go on Strike."

    Wait a minute. ...

Rey Ordonez can't hit or get on base.
Rey Ordonez can't field this year.
    Rey Ordonez has no speed.
Rey Ordonez makes $6,000,000 a year.

And he's surprised the fans are booing him?

I just don't like new york. I barely read the article. I just read the headline. The headline sold me. :D

I am pro Houston, anti new york.

Say it though. Mets fans are stupid.

    It just sounds funny.

Having gone to many Yankees and Mets games (regular and postseason), I've come to this conclusion:

Yankees fans during a game are classy and clever with their chants.
Mets fans during a game are vicious and foul-mouthed.

Perhaps it's because the Yankees are usually good for a win. I don't know why. I personally hate all New York sports anyway, but this is one thing I've observed between the two teams. It's kind of puzzling. Now, this is just behavior during the game. Outside of the stadium, it's a whole different ballgame...

I used to know someone who claims to have been urinated upon at a Yankees game by some guy about three or four rows up from him. Of course this was about 15 years ago, so things may have changed, but still...

Also, I seem to remember (about 15 years ago as well) that the Mets were the darling of the rich and wealthy New York dillitantes living in Connecticut, while the Yankees were the working class team. Perhaps this has changed.

Don't get me wrong now. I do like New York. It's just like friendly rivalry. If I see a new york team go down, I would love to kick them team when it is down. Look at the Knicks, the Rangers, the Mets, and the Metrostars. The Metrostars? Yeah, I guess.
