    It was great entertainment while it lasted. Damn.

    As they say in Good Will Hunting...the imperfections, that's the good stuff.

    Great to have you back OP. And screw the insider info. If you don't feel like sharing it again due to some people, your opinion on the rocks is appreciated by a lot of posters and that surely warrants your stay on the board.

    So, how does it feel to lose Jackson after all this?

    I would'nt hold my breath on them even using that medical exception unless someone of import jumps on their lap.

    Crap come on! Do they realize how tough it's going to be to make the playoffs without depth in the frontcourt! *Sigh*

    OP, in your opinion, was Golden State planning on matching our offer sheet all along? Because nothing has changed, as far as I can tell, between when the offer sheet was delivered and when they matched it, yet they took the entire amount of time anyway. I was just wondering why those Golden State bastards had us Rocket fans sweating bullets for a couple of weeks.

    I agree, I can't see them using the exception just to use it, afterall, it still means they are spending a hell of a lot of money.

    Have you heard anything about:

    1. possibly getting Gatling;

    2. the ability to combine the exception in a trade for an even higher caliber player, say package it with Williams for instance?

    Admitting at the outset that I only quickly scan the overextended personal battles, I must say that I think this was much ado about nothing. It's a shame that the person in question who appears to have a better line to sources than most of us also is, at least in this instance, immature and thin-skinned. The ass-kissing it took to soothe this guy/gal's ego was pretty foul.

    Looking to the future, I would encourage the venerated sage to ignore the heathen rages. Stay above the fray. Just give your info and insights, and avoid lowering yourself into these types of personal battles with your lessors. Follow Racehorse Haines' advice, "Don't ever get into a fight with a pig. You will only get dirty and the pig will love it."

    I could be wrong, as I am sure you will point out, but I thought the Madisonville Racehorse used this:

    “Never try to teach a pig to dance …… it is not only very difficult, but it annoys the hell out of the pig.”

    PS: The only ass-kissing I recognize involves a select few candidates .... and alas you, Joe Shmo, barely rate as a novice pucker-er. But you can always pratice dancing.

    ;)
