Give me Durant, after the comments he made this summer about wanting to play against Voltron instead of joining him I became a huge fan. Dude wants to compete against the best because ,I believe, he feels their equal if not better.

durant without a doubt. younger, bigger, more of a competitor, better scorer, better rebounder, better defender... is there anything else that makes a good basketball player? if there is durant is better at that too.

No one was arguing this point because, right now, one is on the trading block while the other isn't. This poll's sole purpose was to try and make another poster look foolish for defending the thought of having Melo as a Rocket as another person (I have no idea why) kept bringing up Kevin Durant in a thread solely intended for Carmelo Anthony to the Rockets discussion.
I almost voted for 'melo just to spite you, DD. (It wasn't me, honest) But yeah, this is stupid, you could have just included in one of you thousand other posts on the subject: You didn't have to actually do it.
That is not the intent at all. The intent was that there are players out there that you go all in for and you are willing to gut your roster for...... Durant is one of those.....you just KNOW that he is going to fit in, play hard night in and night out and make your team better. Those types of players ARE superstars..... That is the type of player, that I hope Morey targets....and does not go for "Malcontented stars" who THINK they are superstars. And RockBox, sorry you feel that way...I feel the same about all the "Please Melo come here" guys. DD
Durant because he's younger, has more upside, and is the type of player I'd like to root for. He respects his teammates and he respects the game.
So you would wait a lifetime for players such as Durant to become available? I don't get the point of this poll. Of course Durant is better. That doesn't mean that a team with Melo, a really good 2nd star, and solid role players can't win a championship.
