I haven't seen alot of talk about him,but i think he could be a pretty 4 along side Ming. He's tough, can put the ball on the floor, has good range and is 24 yrs old. Detroit will probably resign Wallace for 3 yrs and want Drako to be 1st on the depth chart. If we don't have to use the TE, we could get Okur in a sign and trade with Detroit. If not, maybe we could offer the full mle for him. He's a Brad Miller type of guy. Others who worry about depth, Rebraca could be had for a good price for off the bench. If Utah doesn't make him a ridiculous offer, Okur would be a nice player for the Rockets.

I started a thread about him about a month ago, and i think there was a thread before that about him. He would be a nice fit I think on the rockets but i dont see him coming here anymore, I thought he would be good to give 10-15mins a game to give yao some rest at the 5, but I dont see him coming anymore here. he probably land in utah or phoenix

He should start at the 4 and log 35mins a night. Another name to think about is Swift,Thomas or Mihm. All are the same age and are prime to be upgrades from Cato and Taylor. I think if the Rockets offered the MLE to Swift,Memphis would let him walk.

I would like McDyess if his knee checked out. He won't be the player he wqas, but he still can be a very good person

McDyess still has something left... Last season in the 15 or so games he played 25 minutes or more, he averaged over nine rebounds. Then again, he probably only played 25 minutes or more in the first place because he rebounded well, but eh.

Okur looked good early in the season, but his confidence took a big hit when 'Sheed came to town. I think JVG said that Okur was averaging more rebounds per 48 minutes then Ben Wallace after they played us (the game in which Yao had a 20-20)

I think Juwan will be a serviceable starter if the T-Mac trade goes down.

Okur isn't that quick, athletic PF we need to compensate for Yao. I like McDyess if he's healthy (a big IF)
