Friedman (kinkyfriedman.com) is a best-selling mystery author, musician, writer of the Kinky column for Texas Monthly, founder of the Utopia Animal Resue Ranch, maker of Farouk & Friedman olive oil—whose proceeds go to Nobel Peace Prize-nominated Oasis of Peace—emcee of the Houston Art Car Parade and candidate for governor in 2006.
