Lebanese food is Mediterranean. It can also be Middle Eastern. But true Lebanese food is barely Middle Eastern.
No worries. To answer your question, I wasn't responding to the fact that it was an octopus or a baby. I think eating any dead body is sick. But I don't post that all the time because if I did I'd have twenty million posts and no time to do anything else. I guess maybe I felt like responding here because Mediterranean food makes me think of delicious vegan treats (though it is obviously not anywhere close to all vegan) and the baby octopus post killed that buzz for me. But if you want to talk about it more we should do it in the D&D. I don't want to ruin moes' thread.
Best hummus is by far at House of Kabob. That place is amazing! Best kabobs would be at Darband. Also amazing!
the new ownership at garsons has restored it to glory... highly recommend it. the restaurant took a nosedive after the original owner got ill and subsequently passed away a year or two ago. my mom is cooking some awesome home-made persian food tonight for my older sisters birthday
Darband, as i previously stated is Persian food, which is why they have a picture of Iran, Iranian colors, Iranian FOOD lol.

Nope, that's not it. This was a little spot owned by some Dutch hippies back in th early '70's. While I couldn't tell you the name or address (it's been too long), I could walk right to it were I in Amsterdam, or where it was, at any rate. Those look like nice shops, however. I live in Austin now, so I'm always up for a new eatery in the Hill Country, but I visit Houston a lot. I'm keeping an eye out for some good eats and this thread sure has some. Anyone remember Good Eats in Austin, or the Raw Deal on 6th? Yummy!
We love Olive Oil on Sawdust Rd here in The Woodlands. The have awesome gyros and moussaka. For me, the Tzatziki is the most important part of eating Greek food. If they have a bad tzatziki, I will not go back. We went to this place called "Kebab house" on I-45 by Shenandoah and their tzatziki was horrible. It tasted like Sour Creme..yuck.
