Does anyone here have any experience using Media Monkey to transcode .flac files into .mp3 files while syncing to an iPod? Currently I'm using Winamp and when it works, it works well but Winamp, for me, is very buggy. It freezes up a lot and crashed and I'm wondering if Media Monkey is more stable.

I keep all my music in .flac format on a NAS and play it throughout my hose via SONOS. I use Winamp to play .flac files on my PC and to sync music to my iPod. Since the iPod doesn't play .flac files (nor would I want to use flac on an iPod because of the file size), I use Winamp's ability to trascribe files on the fly while syncing to an iPod. For the most part it works, however, as I mentioned above it crashes a lot. Media Monkey supposedly does the same thing but I'm pretty sure you have to pay for it to get that transcribe feature. I have no problem paying for the full version (I paid for WinAmp) but I'd like to know if anyone else has used Media Monkey in this context before I purchased it.
