I need my timing belt to be replaced along with the water pump. I was wondering if anyone here can recommend a trustworthy mechanic in the Austin area since the mechanics I trust are in Houston and don't know of any here. Thanks in advance . Since I already created this thread, what about a tire shop with good prices that will do a good job replacing my tires (need new ones).
I've been using accurate auto works. he's very honest and has a loaner car you can use. Its up at howard/I-35 though but worth the drive in my opinion since I trust him.
What ever you do don't use use Accurate auto works off Howard lane -- biggest rip off sham repair shop in Austin.
What part of town are you in? I've taken my vehicle to Stingray automotive (183 @ Anderson Mill) and have been very happy with the service and cost. I always liked Groovy Automotive (41st @ Red River) in central Austin, but haven't been there in a long time. I don't even remember the last time I had my car serviced in south Austin, so I can't help you there. Good luck
I highly recommend Luu Auto near Lamar and Kramer. They're honest and really good with their work. Their rates are fantastic, too.
