It's been almost ten games and Coach McHale prefers a 8-9 man rotation. Who's in and who's out?

Here's what I see so far. Looks like the biggest loser on the team in terms of playing time has been Terrence Williams. It's surprising that Parsons has broken the starting rotation. Before the season started I wouldn't have expected that at all.

    In

    • Kyle Lowry
    • Kevin Martin
    • Chandler Parsons
    • Luis Scola
    • Samuel Dalembert
    • Goran Dragic
    • Courtney Lee (?)
    • Chase Budinger
    • Patrick Patterson
    • Jordan Hill

    Dog House

    • Terrence Williams
    • Marcus Morris
    • Jonny Flynn
    • Hasheem Thabeet
    • Jeff Adrien

Who do you guys think has the best chance at cracking the rotation, and who do you guys think will fall out of the rotation? I think Terrence Williams has a chance to take Bud's spot given his talent. Maybe Morey will make a trade mid-season to address our glut at the SF position.

I dont think it's really fair to say someone is in the 'doghouse' just because they're not getting playing time. Thats reserved for someone who has a bad attitude or just done something to piss off the coach. On the contrary, with those guys, they simply arent playing better than the ones getting the minutes.

Does Chase still play when Kevin is on the floor, or was the both of them together deemed too much of a defensive liability?

Yeah, I guess you're right. I thought it'd be funny to label it that way though. I think Hasheem is definitely in McHale's dog house, if he has one. Dude has a 28 PER and only had a few minutes of garbage time in games this season.

(The PER bit was a joke, since five minutes isn't really a good indicator of that.)

I have no idea why Budinger is still in the rotation.

Marcus is not in the Dog House. He is developing.

There is no way Chase Budinger or Jordan Hill should be in the rotation for any competent NBA team. I like the starting lineup as it is now, but I'd stick with Dragic, Patterson and Lee off the bench and I couldn't bring up Morris fast enough.

And then stick Thabeet, Hill, Budinger, Flynn and T-Will on the trading block. There is so much waste on this roster.

LOL ... every one of them from the 2009 draft. Though Budinger is worth keeping as reserve, IMO.

WHY NOT DALEMBERT? Why the hell does he insist on playing and Hill and Scola so much. People keep pointing to how much they score but no one looks at how much we get esocred when Hill and Scola play the 5. Its so much obvious the Rockets are better when Dalembert is on the floor.

Chase has sucked balls, that being nice. Why not T-Will?

Being out of the rotation does not mean they are in the dog house... just that they aren't good enough to be in the rotation.

    I wish we could see

    Lowry/Dragic
    Lee/Martin
    Chandler/Morris
    Scola/Patterson
    Dally/Hill

T-Will, Bud, and Flynn need a new home. I really get tired watching Bud play on this team with his zero defense. Credit to McHale for moving Chandler into the starting role so quick. Martin should to move to the bench when Lee gets back. He needs to quit constantly looking for the whistle and just play basketball. Maybe a change in the starting line up will get the message across to him.
