There is no room to play rookies now. Look at what Harden is doing. He's going to be a star and this team is a margin playoffs team. Rebuilding process is almost skipped.

That is old school. McHale is old school. But remember it took like 6 games last year for Parsons to enter the starting lineup.

When have pro sports cared about player seniority? Besides, I thought McHale was about EARNING play time no matter who you were.

What did Morris do in the preseason that earned him the starting spot over Jones?

That said, I think playing Parsons at the 4 after Smith got hurt was a good move, mainly because Delfino was hitting his shots. If Delfino was cold, I wonder what McHale would have done in that situation. Play Morris again or play one of the rookies? Or stick to Delfino?

we have two days off, and then back-to-back. Perhaps by Atlanta PPat will have recovered (he's day-to-day) and the rookies will get some burn. Can't play Harden 44min in the front leg of a back-to-back.

Still played him a lot in the preseason (like Jones) and in the regular season opener (unlike Jones).

Seniority in sports has always mattered. If Adleman were still here, they might not see the rotation this year.

We didn't have Anthony Davis or Kyrie Irving riding pine. We have the #18 pick Jones and #21 pick over a year ago D-Mo. They have done NOTHING to prove themselves, and will have plenty of opportunity. I was literally less than a year ago when people were surprised Parsons was starting so soon, and we were over a month into the season.

They will get their chance, just likeChill. Out.

That is always a myth. Exhibit A: Chase Budinger

Parsons starting was exactly another example of seniority doesn't matter in sports. Look, it's understandable for the coach to use a familiar rotation player over more talented rookies. But Morris was never a rotation player. He should be on equal ground with all the other rookies in terms of earning PT.

why the hell was he playing the starters so much? give them time to rest and start trusting your second group. Throw the rookies in the water and see if they can sink or swim. I wanted to see T.Jones, D.Mo, and White play in the second group. Morris is a corpse out there he needs to go. **** mchale

I have to assume Mc is playing possum with the league hoping people forget who we have on our team.

All three rooks have huge potential and all had DNP tonight.

We won. They will play a LOT!

Morris got his chance and didn't show worthiness.

After the next game if Morris doesn't play well, Morris doesn't play anymore.

    Done deal.

Meanwhile....Jones and Moti are in the wings, waiting.

Mc, I'm sure has already told them the deal.

White as well will get his minutes.

Just a matter of time and matchups.

Mc is aware of others scouting us.

But when the boxer has a strong left but doesn't show it until he feels like it, it totally throws the opponent off guard when he does.

We will do this a lot this year.

If he just being stubborn for stubborn a sake tho......fire his ass!!!!!

Bring in a young coach or Mario Elie that bleeds the red and yellow and let's move on.

I would give Mc a couple more games after the win tho....

Stupid is stupid and strategy is strategy.....

We'll see which is which soon enough....

You can't just look at preseason games. McHale gets to see them in scrimmages and practices as well. He said pre-game that Morris has a much better work ethic this year and played well in practice and said he deserved the playing time.

Too bad it's not working out yet for Marcus because it seemed he made the effort to get better in the offseason.
