If the Rockets can somehow manage to get this guy at PF, it would be a move almost as impressive as trading for Artest. We desperately need size at the 4, McD would give us that. That being said, I won't hold my breath...
i disagree, he brings us height, experience, and still a good rotational player who does everything good. plays d, rebounds, has a nice 15-17 feet shot... i don't see how he wouldn't help us.
OK, let me say this: we can NOT beat the Lakers in a 7-game series if we continue down this path of a height-challenged 4 and 5 spots (especially when Yao comes out). The Lakers already have the 'athleticism' edge, but they are also so damn lengthy at every single position. So unless Dorsey somehow makes a miraculous breakthrough, we will be at a deficit against the Lakers, and they will effectively beat up on Yao and kill us on the boards (lesser front courts have done that to us already). Scola and Landry are terrific, but they're one-side-of-the-ball type players against the top teams in the league. Anyways, just my two cents...
You are right about our size disadvantage, but McDyess is not the answer. Not saying we need an allstar, just someone who can still move at the NBA pace...
