mayzar sounds funnier than mazyar for obvious reasons. I would think that most people who spell it "mayzar" know the actual spelling.
Yeah, mayzar has been a real sport about the whole thing. And, honestly, it's practically made him a mascot of the bbs, with references to him appearing in a bazillion different threads throughout the site. If it weren't for him and that thread, there'd be a lot fewer laughs here. He's like an icon now. A gay icon, but an icon nonetheless.
I always felt a little bad for first using the "gayzyar" reference in that thread ... I always thought he was an alright guy. "Gay czar" though, it was just too obvious and inevitable. And too convenient a nickname for teasing purposes And also thought mazyar didnt do enough or coulda done more to fight it off, if it was that much an issue. If he'da came through with at least a couple well pointed "F*** Yo' MAMA!"s, he coulda killed off alot of the ensuing teasing. Or just remain secure enough in himself to not give a sh** about it all. Though on this board, still not sure how much they'da held off.
