I just got back from the store where I bought a 12 pack of Dr. Pepper. I opened it and looking right back at me was a Dallas Mavericks can. It was full of them. They were even redeemable for 5 dollars off any ticket in Dallas. Has anyone else noticed it? If this is not the proper place for this thread, I'm sorry. Blatz
I got pretty mad when I realized that I couldn't even buy any Ms Baird's bread here in Austin...the damn thing had Spurs logos all over it
That sux!!!!! you know it is up to the Rockets marketing department to fix this . I am still trying to figure out how to get a Ying Jang or Jing jang or what ever that beer is the Rockets are sponsoring. I do not think they sell it at the Compaq center yet.... Cuban is a genious...The mavs have done nothing and we get them on pop cans in H-town...Les needs to hear about this
The problem is Dr. Pepper is canned in Dallas/FW. But you can buy Texans/Rockets budweiser and budlight. That is canned here in good ole H town! Think of it as Dr. Pepper, only funnier.
anyone got some Hakeem water we can ship to Dallas? you know, 7Up did name their latest promotion, "Rocket Cash" the first time I heard it, I thought it would be redeemable for Rockets stuff.... wrooooong!!!
I haven't seen any YinJiang (sp?) beer anywhere in Houston, but I DID get one at the Compaq Center. I don't know from where though -- I went with a friend (Mavs fan) to the Dream retirement game, and at the beginning of the third he picked up some of those yinjiang beers -- they are not bad, but not really all that great. Personally, I'll stick to Corona . . .
Blatz, Can you tell me where you bought the Dr. Pepper? It's probably an honest mistake in shipping with Dr. Pepper, but these things shouldn't happen, and I'd like to our friends up at DP a quick call so they can get this fixed. Thanks, Tim McDougall Vice President of Marketing Houston Rockets and Comets timm@rocketball.com
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're fixing it. And you're exactly right, this is part of our job. Yanjing is still in the process of gaining distribution throughout town, but I know you can find it at HEB Central Market on Westheimer -- that's where I pick up mine. If there's interest in seeing a more complete list of locations carrying Yanjing, let me know -- we'd be happy to call the folks at their distributorship and make a list available. Excuse me for the double posts ... Tim McDougall Vice President of Marketing Houston Rockets and Comets timm@rocketball.com
I hope it doesn't rain this weekend, but if it does, you better believe it's the Rockets' marketing department's fault.
It's all Crows and Power where I live, no an inch of Rockets promotion......................................Please Fix It Timbo!!!!!
Wow Someone up there has a brain. Chinese products are cheaper and some are really good. I think Les is going to make a profit off of Ming and Chinese products. Smart move. the boy is also awesome. I want ming and Franchise together on some DP. I think their market will boom especially if they were to sell it China. Yao ming and an NBA Star on a can... I'd buy a warehouse's worth just cause of the can
I still have a case of Hakeem's water and it has turned a funky yellow color. Tim- I bought the 12pack at my local Kroger here in Spring. I know it is silly but I took it back to the store and got some Coca-cola instead. Blatz
