Mattress Mac is known to be a complete prick. He's just not a good guy to be around. Although you would expect it from a guy who's had success like him. I can appreciate the fact the Hilton guy comes to most Rockets games.
Somone told me Mac has/had supplied illegal narcotics to athletes and a Houton team did an investigation and then cut ties with him. Has anyone ever heard this before? Is my friend just pulling my leg on this?

Pretty much. Prime example of Mattress Mac douchery.. I was doing some volunteer work for State Rep. Rick Noriega, calling the guest list for the fundraising reception to be held in his honor on his return to Texas from Iraq.. I called Mattress Mac (to his credit, I called his secretary and was able to speak with him at least, instead of getting the brush off) and asked him if he'd like to RSVP for the event, his reply? "No, I don't attend political events. Politicians lie too much." So then I told him how Noriega had spent the past two years in Iraq fighting for our freaking freedom, and his wife had been the one doing all his "lying" for him at the state capitol while he was serving our country overseas, and this was a reception honoring his return.. he quickly changed his tune, RSVP'd, and donated several hundred dollars. Self-promoting, sycophant, jerk-off..
