I agree with you that Les takes risks, and he is a good owner. After the first ring, he gets Drexler, Barkley, Pippen (at the time, seemed awesome), Francis, and Yao. Not bad in my opinion. Jackass Drayton McLayne should learn from him. (I do admit getting Kent was awesome). There will always be overpaid benchwarmers that tie up the cap. If we could only consolidate and get 2 megaplayers out of 5 regulars...

    GB,

Thanks for your kind words. Great points. I'm not on the board for a "Big Me, Little You" ego trip. I'm here because of the love for the Rox. People from all walks of life are BBS Members. They may have access to front row pix, met the Rocks or scooping the Media. I wouldn't dare trade insults. That's silly. If someone doubts my story or disagree with my take, so be it. It's a Forum! Toast, thanks for chiming in. I agree with you. The Rox aren't big on Player Development. Rashard is a better player than he would have been with the Rox. The Maloney thread was to show the lack of Player Evaluation skills the Rox have. RL was the glaring example! The $120M in current contracts are inexcusable. Not a All-Star among them. Of course no one knows the Future, but moving in the direction of the Future, puts you ahead of the game. I know talent when I see it. That's not exclusive, you have it too!

Logic class and logic has nothing to do with the expression "red herring". It's a curious historical artifact. This is from Merriam-Webster online:

    Main Entry: red herring
    Function: noun
    Date: 15th century
1 : a herring cured by salting and slow smoking to a dark brown color
2 [from the practice of drawing a red herring across a trail to confuse hunting dogs] : something that distracts attention from the real issue.

The other really annoying point of your arguments, nineteen, which you constantly harp over, is this inference that all of this 120 million dollar "debt" is owed now. No way in effing hell we owe those 4 players 30 million apiece now.

    21,

Thank you for honoring me with your first post. We all need a raise!
Dave, thanks for the dictionary. The second definition sums up what I'm saying. I can tell that you missed class that day. I do not mean to annoy you. Please look at 21's response concerning those contracts. 7yr, 6yr,6yr and 4yr deals. Those are current deals counting against the Salary Cap. It seems that you and Les ("we"?) are nonchalant on how Rudy spends your money.
