Thats because alot of these new posters grew up in the soft culture. Alot of them grew up where instead of taking an ass kicking in sports, they had to have mercy riles so they wouldnt quit playing. Thats why alot of these kids cant compete in the global economy. As kwame and DD said, barnes has an edge and he's cheap. The rockets didnt have to send the 8th pick or the mle for that kind of player. He's a douche because he gives hard fouls and irritate guys? I'll take vs having a guy busting my ass talking trash like kobe does shane. These kids nowadays kill me.

Barnes is a former Kings under Adelman and original it was the Kings that give him the opportunity to thrive. So if giving a chance, i am sure Adelman have no problem accepting him.

I value guys that work their tails off in game AND know their roles. Barnes does both. And unlike a guy like Ben Wallace, he's not past his athletic prime (at which point, the "working hard" thing becomes less valuable)

As for his attitude...he's a guy you'd enjoy having on your team and hate otherwise. So I'd take him. He's not super dirty.. so whatever. As someone else said, this team could use the toughness/edge

Well he give us that toughness we need, also he cuts to the basket really well and plays really good defense. He also rebounds pretty good too. His only problem is not controlling his emotions, that is the only thing that scares me about getting him, I know since I'm also a Magic fan. Oh I also forgot, his 3 point shooting is eh a little like Skip and Ariza, you will cringe when you see him take one

    Matt Barnes via Twitter:

"To orlando fans opt out don't mean I'm leaving the team. Means I'm lookn 4 alil pay raise, this is a business. I luv it hear and WANT2STAY!!!"

Just because someone opts out of their contract doesn't mean they are leaving.

But would Orlando want to give him a raise? I guess it depends on how much more he's looking for.

I wouldn't mind Barnes; I'm all for toughness and defense, and he can shoot some. He definitely adds fire to a team that has lacked it severely since Ron left.
