I hadn't heard about this. I'd like that, too. I liked it better in ME1 when you didn't have to deal with ammo. It's really just a hassle and doesn't accomplish anything. What they should have done is made it so that you have limited ammo for whatever "big gun" you bring along, but everything else is unlimited. Because you don't want people abusing the stupidly powerful big guns, but for the others I'm not sure why it mattered...
I've preordered it, but probably gonna wait a little bit to play it. I'll let everyone else figure through the bugs and missions so they can write about it on wiki for me to follow I guess it's supposed to make it a bit more difficult and realistic. But I don't care about that. I'm a volume shooter and I hate it when I'm shooting up some geth and stuff, and then my character switches to pistol because it ran out of ammo. It's not a problem if you're a Vanguard or Infiltrator where you have these non-bullet special moves. However I'm a soldier and I need ammo. Spoiler
My only problem with the system is... when you pick up "ammo" it adds it to all of your weapons. Yet, you can run out of ammo for each weapon individually. That makes no sense. I know that's probably been beaten to death, but it still kind of annoys me.
I'm sitting through 45 minutes of Kingdoms of Amalur demo just to unlock the gun for Mass Effect 3. Is that pathetic?
No I did the same, although I did enjoy Kingdoms of Amalur, played a little like Fable to me. Can't wait to pick up my copy tomorrow. Hoping to see a good closure to the trilogy.
What characters did you guys kill in the suicide mission? I kept all (but gave Legion to Cerbs) on my renegade character, and I stupidly chose Samara instead of Morinth. I'm about to enter the suicide mission with my paragon character and I plan on killing Zaeed. I want Jack dead too, what an ugly mug to look at.
To be honest I would keep all of them alive just so you could get the extra dialogue options and possibly their help in ME3. Speaking of ME3 I've played about 6 hours of it yesterday, absolutely amazing.
Damn lucky. I've preordered but I don't think it'll be out where I am till the middle of the month. What's the situation with ammo? Unlimited or same as ME2?
Same as ME2. Combat has been relatively easy for me since I imported my shepherd and he's like level 39 now after just 6 hours of game play. Sidequests has kept me super busy, I barely continued the main storyline until 2 am when I decided I need to sleep.
I started on Hardcore last night. From the 4 hours I've played so far, the game seems excellent. The battles are challenging and fun. The brutes can be freaking brutal if you don't set your team up correctly. The only thing I'm a little bit worried about is there seems to be a lot of auto-dialogue so far. They broke the conversation choices down to the bare essentials it seems. The only time I've had the opportunity to "investigate" in the dialogue is when I'm talking to my own crew aboard the Normandy. I guess I understand why they did it, but I rather enjoyed investigating. It gave you some really good background info.
Welp, some butthurt kid ruined a couple of spoilers for me when it was the first comment on the gamespot review.
This game is awesome so far. Actually impressed with kinect commands too. Having fun barking out orders to the squad - avoids pausing the game to select powers. Story and graphics are up a notch too do far.
Spoiler This probably doesn't need to be spoilered, but oh well. So i'm kind of hating the dialogue system so far. It seems so watered down. Overall, the game feels more like an action/adventure game than an RPG. It's still pretty damn solid though. Also, i'm kind of upset about my romance always defaulting to liara. In me1 i romanced both liara and ashley to get as many paragon points as possible. However, b/c I didn't realize liara's romance overrides everything i failed to end it. SO, I lost the ashley romance. In me2 like most people I banged the chick from Chuck  So my question now is....can i somehow stop the liara romance and try to hook up with ashley/miranda? Oh and I just met Thane again. That dude is pretty badass. Kind of disappointed he can't be a part of your crew.
Spoiler As far as mine goes (I didn't romance anyone in ME1, and then romanced Miranda in ME2), when I first spoke with Miranda on this game, she basically asked me "so are we still together?" Then I had the choice of continuing my relationship with her, or ending it. If you "cheated" on your ME1 romance in ME2, I think a situation comes up where you have to either choose to continue your relationship with one of them, or you can choose to end both and start a new relationship with someone else.
SMH... I'm sorry... that is a spoiler fail. I meant to click "preview post" but clicked submit instead. If I spoiled that for anybody I am truly sorry.
Regarding romances Spoiler When Liara came on board the Normandy, she kind of asked if I wanted to rekindle the romance or just keep it professional. So I could've broken it off there, but didn't. Later, I met Miranda on the Citadel and she basically asked me the same thing, which I didn't break off either. I know this is headed somewhere bad though I'm holding out for a Liara/Miranda cat fight.
I just barely started the game, and don't have near enough free time. I imported my ME 2 save but I had to redo his face to match with the new graphics or something. That's about as far as I've gotten. But I had a question. When reading about the game I've seen it mentioned that you can choose whether you want RPG style or Shooter style or something like that. I don't recall ever getting to make that choice. Did anyone else?
I dont think it asks you. It didn't ask me at least. You can change the options so you make "no decisions" in conversations.
