Thanks for the link! I actually learned a few things that I didn't already know, but I got a new 360 before it was doing cloud saves and the hard drive is long gone. I was hoping that either EA would have stored my decisions on the EA servers or BioWare could tell through the different achievements the decisions I made. Looks like I'll just have to play through ME2 again, which isn't that bad a thing. Time is just my issue. Thanks again though!
That ending Spoiler was like the ending to a bad episode of the twilight zone or Socrates answer to a question on metaphysics... Completely ****ing random
Wait, are you saying that if I used infinite ammo refils for ME2, that there would be problems importing to ME3? **** that. This game just gets worse and worse upon reading it. I'm not as excited to play this anymore after reading this thread.
I might give BioWare a lot of crap, but this was pretty awesome (don't think it was posted earlier): <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/nXf7HC7iYEY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Got the game. Disappointed that there is so little dialogue in this game compared to the other ones. There are times in the conversation where I fully expect to be given control of a dialog wheel, but to no avail. **** EA. Kill the monopoly.
EA routinely buys out licenses and uses their huge reserves to cash to lure developers. Then forces said developers to release games early, before quality testing is done. They also force them to do this day one DLC crap, forcing you to spend money on something that should be free. Then they force you to put your product on EA's ripoff of Steam: Origin. Wonder why there is no 2K sports college basketball? Wonder why they is no 2K sports NFL? EA bought out both licenses and even tried to buy out the NBA license. They are a bunch of scumbags.
I agree the DLC is pretty bullschitte. That's why I had no problems getting a pirated ME2. It's such a ripoff.
At least Activision makes them look good. I'm not sure if EA is the reason why BioWare has gone downhill...or if BioWare was going that route regardless. I thought if any developer could do well partnering with EA, BioWare could.
The last two bioware games have been major let downs. DA2 and ME3 just were complete letdowns to their respective franchise. That's a real shame because both mass effect games, DA:O, Jade Empire, and both KOTOR games before this were very well done.
EA has had a long history of bullying the developers they take on. Dragon Age 1 was given a lot of time to develop since EA didn't forsee the huge amount of popularity it would get. Dragon Age 2? EA forced them to release it early and in return we get a crap game.
Just finished ME2 and it was AMAZING. Spoiler jack died because of a lazer before the mission (meh), thane died before the mission (meh), and legion died closing the door (I was extremely angry when this happened)
I hope you saved before the suicide mission. Did you not do your loyalty missions? I heard Thane would be a badass in ME3 That or you assigned the wrong people on your suicide mission. Here's a link that should help, I hope you saved before the suicide mission. The pic is really big, so I'll just link it and not embed it here: http://images.wikia.com/masseffect/answers/images/8/87/Suisidemissionfinal8.jpg
I did save it. I plan on redoing it. It's just that Thane died before the mission even started. It was in the cutscene in the ship. I wasn't able to buy the upgrade because I didn't get enough of the material to buy it. I didn't care about Jack dying at all though. I did do all my loyalty missions, which is why I was confused as to why Legion died.
The link answers it all. Thanks. I really don't want to find all the elements to upgrade the ship, though. I was amazed when I saw that I couldn't afford the upgrades and just went ahead to the mission. I know why everyone died now.
Reading that thread, it actually seems very plausible. And if Bioware did that... they are ****ing amazing.
It took me a lot of time and effort to finally finish ME2 with everyone alive... and I'm so glad I did. I can't speak for what ME3 is like without my ME2 squad making it through the suicide mission, but it truly felt like they made a difference.
It's plausible, but I think that's more of angry fans trying to rationalize a dev screwing up. Plot spoilers for end game below: Spoiler one of the things that makes me most mad is the introduction of that child as a major plot element. I mean seriously. He had no relevance to the series at all. I would think that if Shepard is being haunted by the memory of death/sacrifice he should be seeing Kaiden/mordin/thane/legion in his dreams, not some random kid. Not to mention I dont understand why the citadel essence/crucible or whatever takes the form of that kid
