    Mark Jackson is stupid

Why the hell does he take everything literally?
JVG said something like "im not sure if steve nash wouldnt make me look good in this offense"

Mark Jackson says somewhere along lines of "No he's a great player, but he couldnt make you look good"

and it takes me back to that thread where he trashed steve francis.

edit: I know more about basketball than he does

It seems to me he was talking about JVG's looks, not his basketball skills.

JVG was talking about him PLAYING with Nash, and Mark Jackson said Nash was great, but nothing could make JVG look good playing.

    It was funny.

    This thread...not so much.

JVG just said "we had a bad year last year" in reference to the Astros.

I know he lives in Houston, but that kind of surprised me.

It's because he's here for the long term, prob coaching the Rox next year.

hey, what did Mark Jackson say when he trashed Francis?

You're the one that takes things literally apparently, because MJax's joke there went right over your head.

    Fire Marc Jackson!

Hey isn't JVG a native New Yorker? I would like to see him coach again one day. Wonder what would happen after Isaiah gets the boot.

Surprised JVG said that about the Astros. He was the biggest Mets fan.

Mark Jackson sucks as a commentator. Most of these analysts are no good. JVG and Hubie Brown actually analyze. Bill Walton is creative. Jon Barry is getting there. Everyone else just repeats the play by play and tells us exactly what we see.

I love Hubie Brown. He's one of the best there are in my opinion. I also love JVG/Jon Barry.

I like the TNT guys though I dont know why but sometimes when I am watching a game Kevin Harlan's and Marv Albert's voices make it better with their "overly intense for the moment" announcing. I swear sometimes their voice is probably the loudest in the building.

Doug Collins/Kevin Harlan. Good matchup. Hubie Brown/anyone is a good match. I want to see JVG, Jon Barry, and Bill Walton do a Rockets/Suns game or Rockets/Lakers game though that would be too good.

I love Hubie Brown and Jeff. They give you class A analysis about the game.

Whereas for JB, he's a "trying-hard" kind of guy. Bullard is definitly better than JB.

    JB=Drexler.

Yao joked with Mark recently about him putting on weight saying he and mark are at about the same weight. SF was standing with them and started rolling, so Mark instead of coming back at Yao decided to hit the unsuspecting SF with "at least I didnt lose my game"

I saw the NJ game and it was just trash talking between Steve and Jackson. It was all in good fun like two guys giving each other a hard time. They showed the video and the two were laughing about it.

There might have been another incident that I'm not aware of.

It was strange because Jackson was the NJ announcer and spent most of the time praising the Houston Rockets.
