So when do you think they will play a game checkers to raise the stress level. I wasn't planning on watching it but I tuned in to see if it was just as annoying as the commercial where Cuban says, "You are gone". It was.
Even though I can't stand his team, you gotta admit Mark Cuban is a f'ing badazz. I really admire the guy. Anybody that young that can have that kind of success in business at his age is pretty remarkable. I plan on continuing to watch his show. I also enjoy reading his weblog at blogmaverick.com.
Even the commercials were boring, "Your, uh, gone." Boring. Hope they spice it up. I don't want the guy to suck this bad.
I don't know. Him calling out Donald Trump on his blog was pretty dopey. This guy is a serious dufus that takes himself way too seriously. Oh sure, he does some fun promotions sometimes, and he has an engaging personality. But I kind of get the sense that it's all for show and he's a really intense crybaby underneath it all.
Trump has the advantage of it being a Mark Burnett Production, the king of all reality. The Apprentice just has a better, more polished look to it.
Oh my god this was so awful! And to think it had a prime spot leading into MNF, which was the only reason I watched it... Jenga? Are you kidding me? Plus Cuban came across as creepy while watching the contestants and judging from another room, than trying to be Trump-esque in handing out his "decisions" and telling people to pack their bags b/c "you've lost a chance at a million dollars" Bad, bad, and all around bad!
I loved the gals "my mom needs a new leg" speech. So now if Cuban doesn't pick her he ends up looking heartless.
IMO Mark Cuban is a self-aggrandizing, pompous know-it-all. There's a lot to like about him, but there's also a lot to dislike. IMO he acts like he's so much smarter than everyone else. Sure he created his company and now he's really rich, but IMO he partly fell into it.
I really disagree with you on that point. He has built several very successful companies and is an incredible businessman. I'm not sure what you mean by "he partly fell into it". He started as a salesman working the floor of an electronics store. Hardly coming from old money or some grand advantage. In my opinion, if you can back it up, I have no problem with somebody coming across as being arrogant.
I guess what I mean is that he made his big money selling broadcast.com during the height of the .com era. It would never have been worth the $2 billion he sold it for in any other time. Granted, that's smart business, but it just doesn't really make me think of him as some great business pioneer as much as a guy with great timing. I just read the wikipedia article on Cuban, and I have a new respect for him as a businessman. I still don't really care for him though . . .
Well, even though I won't be watching the show or just the fact that I hate the Dallas Maverics with a passion; I still admire the guy. Not to take anything away from Les Alexander (b/c he does have two rings), but any owner who is willing to fork out money like he has, has to be comended. There are not many owners like that out there. Although up to this point it has been a waste. I like the way he sits out there in the crowd during the Mavs games. I also like the way he talks about the refs; and who can forget the incident last year on April fools where he pushed a fake referee. But anyways, I won't be watching his show. I just wish there were more owners who actually were TEAM oriented.
I thought that was it, but Wikipedia lists it as 2, so I went with that . . . okay, 4.6 billion in great timing . . .
