Cuban was fined 200K by the NBA for going on to the court after game one of the Spurs-Mavs series and for whining about the way officials are selected for the playoffs in his blog.

He is right, though I think they should use more than what he is proposing to not wear the guys out.

It's actually a conspiracy for Cuban to pay back the favors he has got from Stern, :p

It's about time, he deserves it. Screwed us over last year in the Playoffs with his whining.

There's nothing wrong with what he said. It's not whining. He wrote it before the playoffs started. The league looks like a bunch of assholes with this fine.

According to the article, he was fined $1 million during his first two as an NBA owner. Heck, he probably sets aside league fines as part of his budget each year, now...

Exactly. The 100k for going onto the court, I can understand. Fining him for his blog is absurd. David Stern is power-mad at this point. He needs to go.

It really doesn't matter whether he said it to the media or on his blog.

So, you can write whatever you want, as long as it's in a blog?

If he would have held a press conference to propose what he did in his blog, he still shouldn't have been fined $100k. What in that blog do you believe is worth a $100k fine?

Did I say that? What in his blog (when I say blog, I'm referring to the specific post that got him fined) is worth fining him $100k? He had a suggestion to the league to improve officiating. He didn't call Stern a Nazi or anything. He presented a case to the league and then posted it on his blog. Oh, the horror.

i agree, what's the difference between a blog and press conference, its all going to get out in the media. cuban also has a different responsability to the league as an owner.

    1) Critisizing league officials is a no-no.
    2) Habitual offenders usually get stiffer fines.

I like Cuban. Really. But he knows better.
