I was just thinking...man this guy doesn't get enough credit. Sure he has a huge salary and stuff, but fans in general do not give him the credit that he has due. I never hear people talkin about him as being one of the best forwards in the game, but in my opinion he is right up there. This guy is unselfish, he rebounds with the best of them, he's a solid scorer, and plays tough D. He would be a perfect fit with the rockets too...man, franchise, marion and ming, that would be nice. i know it won't happen, but if the rockets offered mobley and a draft pick or somethin for him it would be nice. He would definately help Griffin develop and the Rockets starting lineup would be solid gold in a couple of years.

I agree that he is a solid player, but he does not fit Rudy's style of play. We need our small forward to be a shooter. Marion cannot handle that responsibility.

I'm not so sure about that. He came out of nowhere last season to shoot 39% from 3-point range, and 84% from the free-throw line. He's a actually a very good shooter now. I also think he's one of the most underrated players in the league.

    Marion is very underrated.

Marion isn't a good shooter overall. But he's a solid spot-up shooter. The next time you see Marion hit a jumper off the dribble, will be the first.

His shooting, and dribbling skills are subpar, and the only things that are stopping him from stardom.

I did see Marion shoot coming off double screens three times in a row ala Reggie Miller v. the Rockets this past season so I gotta give him credit as a good shooter.

He is defenitly underrated but its b/c he plays on a team that sucks. The Suns were pretty healthy and still only won 36 games. If the Suns improve over the next few yrs. Marion's name will get out there more.

Oh and if he played for the Rockets he would turn into Shandon Anderson. Rudy doesn't like those SF who score primarily by slashing and getting "junk" points (off reb., running the break, loose balls, etc.)

Whoa, I had no idea at all he was shooting that well or at all from three point range. If he can work on that he's an excelent number 1 option. Otherwise, he's just an above average second option.

i don't think marion's underrated...it's just that he don't get as much publicity. i'm pretty sure everyone in the NBA knows what the matrix can do. it's just that he's not getting publicity cuz the suns sucks. when kidd was there, they won some games and got to the playoffs. now with marbury "manning" the team, they're not doing as well and the public eye probably forgot about marion.

and i agree, the dude is one hell of a player. those rebounds stats...one word: insane.

Those are open shots. A true good shooter is one who can shoot off the dribble. Something that not even Reggie can do.
