For what its worth, I just had brunch at Grand Lux Cafe across from the Galleria and saw Mario Elie and his wife Gina Gaston. My wife and friend were eating at our table and they were the first ones to notice them. I later went to the restroom and Mario walked out with one of his small kids. I was going to say hi but he was looking a little annoyed with his kid. Ha! I think its funny because no matter how rich and famous you are, everyone gets a little annoyed with their kids. Ha. Mario was wearing all red with a red cap. I know it was just a coincidence but it was cool to see the Rocket red because it reminds of those good times when we were watching all of those Rocket legends like Mario, Dream, Cassell, Drexler, Horry, Thorpe, Kenny, Maxwell and so many others during that time. Good times. There was so much character on those teams, and they battled to overcome so much. Didn't have my digital camera or I would have made sure I had the proof!
Is he still an assistant with the Warriors? Also, didn't Gina have like triplets? Wonder how old they are now.
Be careful about snapping digital cameras in the restroom. You might be posting proof of Mario throwing punches.
Saw Bob Sura last night at Blockbuster on West Grey last night, he has a sweet BMW 745 and had some young average chic with him. Dude looks taller in person, hope he is healthy enough to play next year.
Don't know if anyone would even care, but I saw Matt Maloney a couple of days ago jogging down Woodway near Fondren, right in front of the leasing office of West Point apt.
I met Terrance Morris yesterday at First Colony Mall, he was with an ok lookin gal, he was real real real tall in person, i was talkin on the phone, saw this big dude, looked at him, hung up my phone then asked yo r u terrance morris, hes like ya wassup man, blah blah, asked him if hes gnna be with magic next year, he said maybe i dont know, n we talked for abt 30 more sec then i said good luck findign a team to stick with, he said appreciate it, then my dumbass self realized later that i cud have taken a pic with him on my cell, but o well, and if yall were wonderin he was just wearing a white TALL TALL TALL tee prolly from champs, some jeans and some kswiss
I saw Mario and his wife and two kids couple months ago, they look like a great family.. and i saw Eddie George yesterday but thats a diff. topic
Since everyone else is chiming in on rockets in public then i'll through out that you can see David Wesley and family at Fuddruckers in Pearland about once a week. I live in PLand (as the locals call it) and every time i've been there his little crew is eating burgers and fries. He's pretty ripped and taller in person than he looks on the court. His kids are adorable and very well behaved. his wife - she’s hot, no question. maybe clutch should put up a map on this web site where we can submit locations of rockets sightings.
its amazing everybody saw someone rocket related in the span of what, like 5 days? we are all a bunch of stalkers. My only confrontation this year was seeing Luther Head at the Galleria like 2-3 months ago.
The One in silverlake right? I live on the other side of Pearland. I Heard Silverlake area is where a lot of the Texans players live, maybe Dwes Lives there too. As for my sightings, last one was probably steve francis at the Galleria around 2000. Well thats atleast out in public, seen more in person but not at casual places like what we are talking about.
Speaking of the classic Rockets, has anyone sighted old-timer Charles Jones? He was the most funniest dude that seemed out of place in a ballgame! He's probably 50 right now.
i saw terrence morris at the ymca like 2 yrs ago,he was to himself. (dont blame him for not wanting to play pick up games) i worked with rashard's sister at sams club,so i would see him everyday the sumer before his rookie year, we'd talk. saw murph at the same sam's b4 preseason kicked off in 99-00. sleepy floyd and son at the y roderick rhodes at academy, kenny at galleria (what was the name of his store at first colony?) winston garland at mcdonalds, iwas excited being a kid at the time, haha. all cool guys i bumped into..
I saw Kenny at his store at First Colony also, he was working and watching the NBA playoffs, it was like 1997.
