Who the f*ck is this guy? Besides being a former Dallas Morning News write, I get very annoyed by all his articles on espn.com. He always seem to have something to say, if not but for the negative of every nba news that brimming? Now it's Larry Brown coaching for the Knicks but yet again he has something to say. Is he for real or just writing these bogus articles to keep his job? He really annoys me..
What's so wrong with Stein? Personally, I find that Aldridge, Bucher, and Stein are the only ones who tend to be reasonable pretty consistently. Well, Aldridge always, the other two most of the time. Stein is certainly no Chad Ford, IMO.
Consistent in what, reporting? I find his articles are always a ways to provoke something. I just don't see his knowledge or articles being a point. Like who is he to say about something about the NBA, what is he a jedi or something? Does everything he say is always right? What are his credentials and why should we listen to him?
... What's your problem with Stein? How is he any different than anybody else who writes about the NBA?
Seriously, is this a bad joke? "Who is he?" Well, who is any sports writer? I just don't understand why you're singling him out. No, not everything he says is right... but then, NO ONE is ALWAYS right. What's your point?
He's a sportswriter, that's what he's suppose to do, you know...write articles on sports news. Anyways, I don't mind Stein all that much. Guys like Bucher, Stein, and DA always seem to get legit news and report it w/ some sort of legitimacy. Kinda funny how Stein got his start w/ ESPN, he use to be a writer for Maxim, I guess they liked his stuff or they like the pics that come with it.
DA doesnt work with ESPN anymore. He was their best NBA guy. I think he is at the WA post, or the Philly Inq
Drexler my point is that maybe I see more of his articles than any other on espn.com. They just don't make sense and I noticed they're almost always from him. That's why I'm asking and I want to know what makes his opinion more noteworthy to listen to than others. This is not a joke, this is for real!
He's the main NFL columnist for the Philly Inq., but because he's signed up at Turner, he's written some things for us -- but I think his main NBA writing focus is for AOL's sports page. I haven't really asked anyone if he's availible to scribe more for SI. DA is the absolute toppermost of the poppermost. He's not as good a writer as the Dave D'Alessandros of the world, but I find myself agreeing with Aldridge a lot more more than I do any other writer.
