he gets a bad rep and the sad thing is that i bet a lot of people have never seen him play more than say 3 times in their entire lives and they just believe whatever the media tells them. we need guards who can score not only from the perimeter but drive to the hoop and finish. i would LOVE to see him in a rocket uniform because he has damn confidence at shooting. he's hit a ton of clutch shots in his career and can be good perimeter player for us. if you don't think it's a good idea, okay. but who else that is AVAILABLE is better? and would you rather keep the bums we have now over him?

If Marbury is so great, then why don't his teams win? Why doesn't he get a long with one of the best coaches of all time: Larry Brown? Much less any coach he has. The guy is a loser. When you talk about guys that have that intangible, that 'it' when you describe winners he never comes up. Tim Duncan is a winner, Kevin Garnett is a winner, Tom Brady is a winner, any team with Marbury will lose and have terrible chemistry. He doesn't make his teammates better like a LeBron, or a Shaq, or a T-Mac, or a Jordan, he's a me-first guy who makes his teams worse. I do happen to watch more than 3 games a year of his, and every time no matter who his teammates are, he hogs the ball, tries to do everything himself, and blows the game. Marbury=Losing, period.

as much as i love kg, he has as many rings as marbury.......none.

marbury never had a team around him in new jersey, if you ever saw him play there you would know that. Keith Van Horn was injured all the time, so was kittles, and so was K-Mart in his rookie season. there was no help. i know kidd got them to the finals twice but they were blown out of the building both times. new jersey still didn't win a championship and haven't yet with kidd. in phoenix they did make it to the playoffs and played well against the spurs in the first round, but did lose. the next year with marion and stoudemire injured he was the only nba legit player on the floor, they traded him because phoenix felt they needed to do something so they traded marbury. you obviously don't remember how pissed the phoenix players were when they traded him and how awful they were when they finished the year. yes they had a very good year last year in phoenix but how many championships have they won with nash at PG.....none. new york was a mess when steph got there and the team is worse now because isiah thomas is an idiot. who the in their right mind signs jerome james to a 30 mil. contract? and trades away kurt thomas a very good PF for a low per. shooter with no defense like q. rich? marbury hasn't had any help in new york and that isn't his fault. he did screw up in minnesota but a lot of 20 year olds do things they regret. what about you?

all i'm saying is, you have to look at the situations he has been in. to call him a loser but KG a winner is dumb. KG, Nash, and Kidd have as many rings as steph.....none.

I am trying to figure out what PG these critics think would have this NY team, the Nets team or the Suns team Marbury was on doing better than he did. As far as him saying he wanted to play SG, I think that is what LB said he was going to do in the preseason. Also, Larry Brown makes JVG look like Barney the Purple Dinosaur, he is never happy and always complains. He screwed up an Olympic team with Duncan and b****ed his way off of a NBA title team. If there is an idiot in that relationship it is Larry Brown.
