what? i thought it was as easy as the Texans asking do you want to be a Texan and Peyton saying "yes". You mean there was actually millions of dollars involved? no way!
It's a shame Lloyd and Royal bolted, that would've been fun to watch. Thomas, Decker, and Clark will be wavy gravy though... and if Wallace joins in the fun, dayumn. I still say the play action is going to be brutal on teams.
he already re-signed with colts. they have been saying that the broncos have the space to make an offer to wallace that pitt can't match though.
He re-upped with Indy, strangely. Don't know why he wanted to sign off the waning years of his career to that sinking ship, but hey, whatever works.
That's the one really thing about this that really irks me: the Broncos could likely turn Tebow into Manning and the Jags' #1 pick. With the market likely barren, I hope Jacksonville doesn't do anything stupid.
They'd have to forfeit the 25th pick, but that's not bad at all. They're obviously going all in for the next 2-3 years. I say do it.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Bet you Peyton had assurance from Elway that Tebow will be traded. Great as he is, even Peyton wouldn't want Tebow in wings if had bad game.</p>— Skip Bayless (@RealSkipBayless) <a href="https://twitter.com/RealSkipBayless/status/181794402132443136" data-datetime="2012-03-19T17:28:57+00:00">March 19, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Double edged sword. Don't want the Jaguars to be good but also don't want the Broncos to have an epic offseason.
Let the Broncos rule the AFC West for all I care. Keep the South in our grasp, whatever happens in the playoffs, I can deal with it.
Broncos not expecting much for Tebow. Jags have Gabbert and Henne. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/19/broncos-not-expecting-much-in-tim-tebow-trade/
I just would hate to see the Broncos get Wallace for a #1 and then get another #1 by dumping Tebow to add to their team. Glad to see they don't expect much.
