They really are. As stated earlier the outcome of the game was known before the final whistle blew so there was no reason for Peyton not to congratulate Drew on the win. I see now what type of people we have here. Those of you that just blow it off and state that Manning didn't have to give a hand shake or final word to the winning qb and stated that Lebron is so evil for not doing the same to Dwight and his team are just contradicting yourselves. That's so one sided. I want to know exactly how you know he didn't eventually congratulate Dwight or anyone on that team after the fact, whether it be by phone call, letter, email, whatever. Are you part of his entourage to have this inside intell? Please indulge I'd really like to know what info you have that I need.
Back to my point about doing the "Congratulations!" gig behind closed quarters, where they don't want to personally see their besting opponent face to face. COWARDS.
This comes to you from a fan of the mexican national team...possibly the team with the least amount of class on the planet...especially when it comes to getting beat on the field.
At the end of all of these games they always shake hands, Manning saying he wanted to give them their moment is bunk. Definitely bad sportsmanship.
I believe it was ESPN who reported that he didn't congratulate Dwight.... About a week later when he was interviewed by a media frenzy with a Knicks hat when he confessed he hadn't yet done it.
I know there shouldn't be double standards or whatever, but I do think that there is an exception when a team wins it all. Maybe.
