As much as I'm for the death penalty, life in prison is still a great judgment. As long as the danger is out of society...
That's fine, he's still a kid legally, I'm glad I live in a country that doesn't kill kids. You should be to.
Is he going to a country club prison or a real prison. Cause I bet life in a real prison is probably the worse judgement in a situation like this.
He's got a lot more murder trials, so hold your horses, fellas. They'll be plenty more chances for something different to happen.
i think he should have been set free . . . then over the course of the next two weeks . . .a sniper SHOT HIS ASS . . RANDOMLY on the last day . . .shoot him dead Unless this kid was r****ded. . . . . let's take him out Rocket River
I hope so Woofer. Both of these guys deserve death. In reference to the person who said something about Malvo's age, I couldn't disagree more. Where's the justice in allowing Malvo to live, even though imprisoned for the rest of his life? In hopes that he repents of his sins? Becomes a Christian or a Muslim? Those things would be great, but it doesn't undo what he did. Allowing Malvo to walk would be equivalent to spitting at the victim's families who I am certain the majority of which want death as justice for the injustice to the victims (including themselves). Malvo like his partner in crime are every bit as terrorist as Bin Laden and his cronies responsible for the September 11th attacks. I'm sure no American regardless of political view is willing to give them a pass. Malvo shouldn't get one either.
Prison is no picnic, but.... In prison you can laugh. You can earn a college degree. You can work out, play ball, make friends. You can smoke dope, watch TV, and work on a computer. Is that what he deserves? (note: I know these things firsthand because, in a previous job, I did computer system installations at two different prisons: one medium-security, and one max-security). -- droxford
Malvo's a kid who was clearly influenced by the only father figure in his life. I'm sure he wouldn't have been involved in such a crime if he hadn't been persuaded.
Hard to argue that Malvo was so influenced, but geez the guy participated in the premeditated deaths of many people! If it could be proven that his father (figure) threatened his life, perhaps the kid should get a break, otherwise he should get death.
Malvo followed his 'father' to murder. He can follow his 'father' to execution as well. They both should fry. -- droxford
