The Night's of Malta are older than the Mason's. I heard it's pretty, you should take a ferry over to Greece if you go.
I used to live in Malta. It was beautiful. The scenery is just amazing, all the rocks along the shore etc. I don't remember all that much from it because it was a long time ago, but I do remember how pretty it was.
Malta is pretty damn far away from Greece. It south of Sicily and closer to Lybia than Europe. I've talked with one or two people who've been there and communicate with someone on another BBS who went for a visit and decided to never leave. They say it is exceptionally beautiful, there are lots of very old historic locations like medieval churches and castles as well as nice museums to visit if that is your thing. Also the beaches are supposed to be amazing and supposedly there is plenty of 'eye candy'. I personally would be very keen on visiting. I'm not sure about how good the nightlife is (though I've heard the food is good) but that isn't really what I personally would be looking for in a visit there - rather beaches and history in that order for me. The country is also supposedly very Catholic and very conservative but I don't know how much of this carries over to the tourist end of things. From Germany it would probably make a wonderful vacation spot during winter except during the coldest months. I would much rather visit it than some of the to similar places like Crete or Sicily. Perhaps a good comparison would be some of the very historic formerly Moorish areas of southern Spain? If you want some specific information from a local in terms of where to visit or what to do I could ask about it from the guy on the other BBS who lives there.
try some travel sites like lonely planet or virtual tourist. I knew a guy from Malta when I lived in europe. I thought he was gay, but he was just very feminine. He says Malta is a great. I know that doesn't help at all, sorry.
Thanks, I've actually been there several times, thinking about moving there... the thing is, there aren't really many beaches, it's more of a rock in the sea. But it's amazing how diverse Clutchfans is, we actually have someone here who lived there!
I tried...doesn't work...I need a U.S. IP address - so to derail my own thread, how would I do that (get a U.S. IP address)?
Wow... I had no idea I can now watch games on broadband with my league pass... thanks SJC! There's no option for TV/Satellite/Cable league pass there? You might just ask them at leaguepass@nba.com
