Madden 2006

    Got Madden 2006 yesterday for the PC

    installed it fine but when i start the game it does the first video of a player introducing the game then goes to another title screen, thats has a thing down the bottom saying loading and freezes there

    in the task manager it just says mainapp and uses a pile of memory and processor and eventually i have to end the task

    have re-installed a few times, but still no luck

    CAN anyone help me

    btw have an AMD 3200 with a gig of ram and two 80 gig hard drives, each with about 10 gig free and have a radeon 9600 card which i have two screens running off

    help please

    have u upgraded the radeon drivers to the newest?

    You're nopt the only one with this problem, ALOT of people are having problems with the PC version.

    Just delete the music file in the Madden Folder or rename it to Music1. Btw by "got" do u mean purchased? Just wondering.

    apparently you change the folder called Music to Music1 and it works fine, did for me

    I am thinking about getting Madden 06 on PC. A few things I would like to know though:

    1. What are the minimum system requiremts? Here are my specs: AMD XP 2800 running at 2.1 GHz, one 60 GB HD and one 30 GB HD (60 has about 40 GB of space left, 30 GB is totally empty), 256 MB RAM, soon to be 512 (but will 256 work for now?), and RADEON 9200 128 MB video card.

    2. Are there any bugs to fix in the game or any patches that I need to download?

    3. Are there any downloads so that I can get the most updated rosters?

    4. What is a good controller for PC? I loved my Microsoft Sidewinder I used but I don't have it anymore.

    If I have anymore questions I will post them. Thanks.

    I don't have the game, so I can't answer everything, but here's what I found:

    The minimum specs:
    Operating System: Windows XP
    Processor: 800MHZ or faster processor
    RAM: 128MB of RAM
    Video Card: video card with more than 32MB of RAM, and either an ATI Radeon 8500 or above, or an Nvidia GeForce2 GTS or greater)
    Of course, that's just what it takes to run the game, not run it well I imagine. Just guessing here, but I imagine you should be able to run it OK, especially once you upgrade to 512MB of ram.

    Don't know if you need any patches/fixes.

    I don't know for a fact that there are updated downloadable rosters, but I'm pretty confident that there are some.

    As for controllers, I guess you could always go with the Xbox 360 controller : :)
