I know not everything this guy does shows up in the stats, but I just like to point out that he's playing great and still getting better.

During last night's game I saw this guy outhustle THREE Suns players for the loose ball and drove to the basket before that punk Barbarosa (?) knocked him down on his way to the basket. And this is after the night before, he ran all the way back on D, chased down Ray Allen (?) and blocked his shot before being sent hard to the floor.

I know Yao and TMac played great, but I think it would have been a lot closer if not for JB and some of our other role players. And I can't imagine how much more worried I'd be during close games without him.

So c'mon people, show the man some love.

JB is cold. Man I get excited when he dribbles down court and jacks up a three on the fast break...three posessions in a row.

    :D

The difference between JB and Mobley is that JB actually makes those 90% of the time. If JB is open, it is money.

Ray Allen was traded to the Suns? :D
But yeah, props to Jon Barry. He knows his role and plays it to near perfection. He's a great 3 point specialist and superb hustle guy off the bench.

    I love JB and SURA.

I love their heart, the emotions, the determination. They have hell of a fire lit inside of them.

I was getting so hyped upwhen I watched 2K's highlight reel of the suns game, when JB was hit hard (foul) on a fast break.

JB is a smartest player who can shoot and defend. He made no mistake in 4th quarter. The guy deserves a ring, before his brother Brent.

Ha ha, me too. I briefly considered jumping through my computer screen to start throwing sucker punches.

"Are you alright, Mr. Barbarababosa? Let me help you up!" *BAM!* Right in the nards.

Love the guys grit and fire. That's what was so missing on this team before, and now with Barry and Sura we got it back!! JB was ready to tangle after that hard foul!! And I agree, I feel very comfortable watching JB jack up the three off the fast break, he's money almost every time!

The great thing was that his teammates were right there to keep him away from Barbosa. At another point in the game, they were right there to keep him away from the ref.

I've seen this happen on multiple occasions the past few weeks with not only him but with TMac and other players that got a little hot under the collar. Their teammates are very quick to get them away from the T trouble. These guys really do have each other's backs.

He's my favorite Rocket after Yao and TMac. I really wanted his brother Brent this last summer even more, but for many of the same reasons. I just wanted those characteristics at PG, although for whatever reason, he hasn't brought those to San Antonio.

But, he comes from a smart basketball family. He grew up learning the fundamentals, and has great court sense. He has high basketball IQ, which goes along with Yao and TMac, and an uncanny sense of knowing where everyone is. He's a great passer, and will pass first, great shooter when the other guys are double teamed, and has a great 3 point shot. He's all hustle, hard work, and plays the JVG way. He's not great on defense, but works well within a defensive system. I just wish he was a lot younger ... :) ... I'd get a kick out of having both brothers on the team, too, but I think that now that we have Mike James, that probably won't happen.

I can't believe we got him for Lue, although Lue DID lead Atlanta with 29 points yesterday. But, I think he was our best trade, outside of the one for McGrady.

BTW, where is Drew Barry playing right now? I liked his game in college.
