My friend said its possible to go to the Mac Store and switch out your white macbook with a black one for $150 or so. Is this true? Do they just like switch the harddrive? Thanks
I have a white Macbook and I have never heard of that. If you wanted a black Macbook why didnt you pay the $200 or so extra that Apple wants just for the color of the case in the beginning? I thought about it but its ridiculous to pay so much extra just to change the color of the case because otherwise when you buy the Macbook online you can customize the white and black versions with the identical settings... So if they actually swap white for black in the store I would imagine that they could simply swap the drives since the hardware is identical. Call and ask them.
